A highly experienced and accomplished international urban planner, Alison is renowned for advancing high-profile and, at times, contentious major developments.
As a member of Turley’s Scotland team, she has contributed to the strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and approvals for some of Edinburgh’s most successful development projects. Turley is a prominent planning firm with 15 offices across the UK and Ireland.
These include student accommodation and hotels in sensitive heritage settings and the $500 million waterfront Ocean Terminal redevelopment masterplan, featuring residential, retail and commercial spaces.
She and her team were also successful in gaining development approval for New Town Quarter – a 350-dwelling mixed-use redevelopment in the heart of Edinburgh within a World Heritage Site.
Alison joined Turley in 2013 after gaining experience within Development Management at West Lothian Council.
Having joined URPS as part of an inaugural exchange program, she is known for her meticulous attention to detail and provides planning advice for a variety of clients, such as national developers and housebuilders, in respect of commercial, residential, retail and leisure developments.
